SCU Ayurveda faculty and alumni to present at 2022 National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA) Conference Ayurveda for Family Health
WHITTIER, CA. – (April 19, 2022) 鈥 Five 91性息港 of Health Sciences Ayurveda faculty and one SCU Ayurveda alumna will be presenting at the , from April 22-25, 2022. The 2022 NAMA conference will be a hybrid format with in-person attendees gathering in Tucson, Arizona for live events, livestreamed for remote attendees, and will also be accessible, on-demand.
represents the Ayurvedic profession in the U.S. Its mission is to preserve, protect, promote and advance the consciousness-based philosophy, knowledge, science and practice of Ayurveda for the benefit of all beings.
The 18th annual NAMA Conference will feature the following SCU Ayurveda experts who will present on a variety of Ayurvedic topics:

Dr. Anu and colleagues will also be presenting “,鈥 discussing sustainable approaches to promote graceful aging in daily routines, food, herbs, and physical movements that are specifically designed to empower older adults to thrive. Dr. Anu and fellow experts will advise Ayurvedic practitioners on the in-depth understanding needed of the unique challenges confronting this population, for successful intervention and treatment.
Jayagopal Parla, BAMS, MD (Ayurveda), MAOM, FAIHM, and colleagues will present “,鈥 where they will discuss how to use readily available herbs and spices to maintain health and simple formulations for common imbalances such as indigestion, coughs and colds, insomnia, and oral hygiene issues.
Manjusha Vinjamury, BAMS, MAOM, MD (Ayurveda), FAIHM, and colleagues will present “,鈥 where they will discuss common allergies, asthma, and skin disorders in the pediatric population and how they can be linked as an atopic triad. He’ll discuss connections between imbalances, explore their sources and offer Ayurvedic management principles to address them.

About SCU’s Ayurveda educational certificates
The SCU Ayurvedic Wellness Educator Certificate (Level 1) program educates students to serve the community in the area of prevention and health promotion through Ayurvedic guidance on diet, lifestyle, basic rejuvenating herbs and spices, bodywork therapies, basic yoga, and meditation practices.
The SCU Ayurvedic Practitioner Certificate (Level 2) program is a continuation of the Ayurvedic Wellness Educator educational journey and personal transformation into a natural medicine healer, with deepened competencies in Ayurvedic medicine, including clinical assessments and business management. Students from all schools of Ayurveda are welcome.
